Angkasawan Programme Appreciation Night

Last night ANGKASA held it’s Apprecitaion Night at the Equatorial Hotel, Bangi. ANGKASA’s Director General, Dr. Mustafa Din Subari gave the opening speech before dinner was served. About 250 guests attended the dinner including 18 of the 59 candidates shortlisted for the Angkasawan Programme Selection Process. Among the candidates that took the effort to come from far were Abdul Aziz from Kuching, Mohd Rizal from Kota Bharu and Mohd Anwar our oldest candidate from Seremban. After the dinner, the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Datuk Dr. Maximus Johnity Ongkili gave a speech followed by presenting certificates to Datuk Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, Mej Dr. Faiz Khaleed and all other parties, scientists and divisions involved in the Angkasawan Programme. It was a great night for everyone.

After the event, our association members took the opportunity to hold our monthly meeting downstairs at the Coffee House. It was great catching up with everyone. We then adjourned for the night until our next meeting next month. We all had a great night.
