In conjunction with World Space Week, Dr. Harridon and I gave a talk on careers in the aerospace industry at the main Planetarium theater to a crowd of 200 students and invited guests. Soon after, we conducted a rocketry workshop in the afternoon for 20 students from various schools around the Klang Valley such as SM Convent Bukit Nanas, SMS Selangor, SM Convent Sentul and a few others. We taught them basic rocketry and how to create a software program that can measure the thrust vector of their rockets using C++ language. We then ignited their home grown rockets before blasting our featured rocket sky high into KL’s atmosphere.
